Through Education, we are empowering youth to make a difference in the world we will one day inherit!
A Queensland representative sprinter was set for a promising career in athletics when his life took a dramatic turn for the worst and at 18 he was diagnosed with the incurable disease Ulcerative Colitis. Glen had two choices: to perpetuate an existence, or choose to fight back & have a life. Glen chose the latter. Visit our Ambassadors page.

Our Projects
If you are part of a not-for-profit organisation that would like to come on board, please let us know! We have a number of prospective projects coming through and would love to see what else is out there.
Once YUFE has finished refining your community-service project for academic approval, think of the number of university students that would be made available to your organisation! Not only are we 'young people’ being educated, we are opening up the gates to educated students who might just make 'that little difference'.
Contact us at admin@yufe.org and we will be sure to get back to you shortly.
Our Partners
YUFE has partnered with tertiary education institutions and not-for-profit organisations to help bridge the gap between the community service sector and the education industry. Our formalised partners are listed below.
If you are from a Tertiary Education Institution or Not-For-Profit Organisation and would like to sign-up as a YUFE Partner, we would love to hear from you! Please send us an email at admin@yufe.org and we’ll be sure to get back to you shortly.

With the $2 he had left from his disability pension, Glen pursued one of his dreams of starting a Youth Centre in his hometown. Through sponsorship and fundraising Glen developed a fully functional venue, known as the X-treme Youth and Community Centre.
As this venture developed Glen committed himself to community development and empowering young people to reach their full potential. Surplus funds from the Community Centre enabled Glen to initiate an Emergency Food Relief Program that to date has distributed 20,000 food parcels to needy families in the Redcliffe area. Glen has been well recognised for his efforts including:
• 1998 Young Australian of the Year Queensland Community Service
• 1999 Young Australian of the Year National Finalist
With his continued success with the X-treme Centre and an increased community profile, he commenced a full-time career as a motivational speaker and peak performance coach in high schools. Having learnt to lift himself out of difficult situations, Glen began to inspire a generation that often experiences a sense of hopelessness to hope against all odds.
In 2004 Glen founded OXYGEN FACTORY which changes lives by bringing a message of hope through seminars and resources for high school students, parents, teachers, community organizations and businesses across Australia. OXYGEN FACTORY delivers leadership, personal development and values training to over 200 schools and up to 50,000 young people annually.
